Family Vacation to Traverse City

Family Vacation 2008!

Bethany, Chidlers, and I just got back from a very fun family vacation to Traverse City. It was a huge family reunion for the Snow Family (Bethany's family). All 5 of Bethany's siblings were there along with their families, for a grand total of 15 children and 13 adults. It was a big party! We did a lot of swimming, paddle boating, kayaking, snorkeling, had bonfires, roasted marshmallows, had a talent show, went to Interlochen music camp to walk around, went go-carting, went to a carousel, went to Lake Michigan, played in gigantic sand dunes, played badminton, jumped on a big trampoline floating in a lake, and had a lot of fun together. We all stayed in a huge cabin together that had a secluded lake behind it. It was a great vacation! We were there from Monday until Friday. I can't wait until the next one!

A bright, sunny day on the sand dunes

Lake Michigan is bitter, bitter, bitter cold in June! I only lasted a
few minutes out there! You can see the agony in my face.

This smaller lake behind the cabin was much more bearable. You can see
the floating trampoline in the background.

This was a great picture...too bad Evelyn got cut off a bit!

The sand dunes went on and on for miles

This video captures some of our fun adventures:

Evelyn barely survived, as evidenced by the photo!

Noodle War 2008

Bethany is a very fun Mom! She is always thinking of fun, creative things for the kids to do. Two of their favorite activities are putting their feet in jello and having noodle wars. They also love swimming in their little pool outside, or playing in the sandbox. Here are some pictures and videos of them in action:

Are you checking out my thighs?

Mommy, I think we forgot the swimmy diaper!

Next week, if you're lucky, you'll see pictures of me frolicking in the noodles.
